Who we are
Christine Hart handles North Carolina matters from our Charlotte office at 122 N. McDowell Street. Justin Montgomery and Tiffany Lumpkin handle South Carolina matters from our Summerville office at 201 Sigma Drive, Suite 300. See our attorneys.
Before joining the firm, Christine worked at the Center for Heirs’ Property Preservation. There she helped Lowcountry families hold on to land passed down without a clear title.
What we do
- Estate planning: wills, trusts and powers of attorney
- Probate: settling an estate through the court in either state
- Inherited property and deeds: who owns the house now, and keeping or selling it
- Medicaid and long-term care planning, and guardianship in South Carolina
- Prenuptial agreements

How we work
The first meeting is with the attorney for your state, at the office or by phone or video. It’s a paid meeting. You explain what’s happening, the attorney reads what you bring, and you leave knowing the next step.
If you go ahead, you get the fee in writing before any work begins. Estate planning and probate are each a flat fee. Court and filing expenses are additional to the fee.
Much of our work happens remotely, which helps when a family is spread across both states.
